Members, their guests, and other interested parties are cordially invited to attend, free of charge, the Claremont Canyon Conservancy’s Annual Meeting on Sunday, November 10th at 4:00 p.m. at the Claremont Club and Spa. The meeting will be an opportunity to hear from the Conservancy board and staff about the goings on in Claremont Canyon and to discuss recent fire safety issues.
This year’s keynote speaker is Amy Bach, co-founder and executive director of United Policyholders (UP)—a non-profit organization that advocates for insurance consumers. Amy will update us about the homeowner insurance cancellation crisis and what can be done to address it.
Amy has been a professional insurance consumer advocate since 1985. UP began after the 1991 Oakland Tunnel Fire, a fire which destroyed over 3,000 homes in the Oakland-Berkeley Hills, and left residents struggling with gaps in their insurance coverage and claim process.
UP guides policyholders through their insurance claim process, provides resources and information, Roadmap to Recovery® workshops, and long-term recovery services.
Join us for this afternoon event as Amy will speak more about her work with UP and answer any questions you have. Visit https://uphelp.org/ to learn more about UP.
